More space between homes
The masterplan prioritises distance, gardens and visual autonomy, moving away from density-driven developments and preserving a stronger sense of privacy.
The Project • Casas da Vila Homes
Casas da Vila Homes brings together authored house typologies, private gardens and a layout designed for permanence, proportion and discretion in Trancoso.
Manifesto
The project begins with a simple idea: less noise, more presence. Homes not shaped for immediate impact, but for permanence. Instead of formal excess, architecture works through proportion, shadow, ventilation and materiality to sustain a quieter and more enduring way of living.
Architecture and implantation
Rather than density, the project prioritises interval. Rather than visual excess, it works through atmosphere, proportion and the slow clarity of a more mature architecture.
The masterplan prioritises distance, gardens and visual autonomy, moving away from density-driven developments and preserving a stronger sense of privacy.
Materials belong to everyday life rather than to decorative gesture. The result is a tactile, quieter and more timeless residential presence.
The value of the project lies not only in the houses themselves, but in the way the whole sustains privacy, rhythm and continuity of life.
Architectural direction
Casas da Vila Homes combines authored architecture, vegetation, warm light and careful implantation to sustain a refined residential experience without excess.
Typologies
Serenidade, Brisa Suave and Casa Céu explore different relationships between interior space, garden, pool and scale, while preserving the same residential language.
A more introspective typology, shaped by gentle verticality, elevated outdoor space and a calmer residential rhythm.
A typology defined by flow, stronger contact with the ground and a more open continuity between house and exterior.
The most expansive interpretation in the project, combining stronger amplitude, broader programme and a more open residential expression.
The project prioritises proportion, spatial breathing and a more intimate residential atmosphere, avoiding visual saturation.
Material choices, shading and form are designed for longevity, supporting a project that matures rather than merely impresses.
More than a temporary stay, the project supports continuity, residential depth and a stronger connection to place.
